Drive-In Racks and Drive-Thru Racks are a nice, high-density storage option that can be used in many situations.  Primarily, companies will be interested in using a drive in racking system because it is cost effective and stores significantly more material than standard pallet racking.  A drive-in rack is immediately recognizable in that forklifts actually enter into the structure to place and remove materials.  Because fork lifts drive into the rack itself, the racks can be subject to a little more abuse than other types of rack systems.  If your facility requires FIFO inventory management, you will most likely want to configure this type of rack for drive-thru access.  Whereas companies who are not as concerned with LIFO access can opt to put the rack against the wall, which creates a drive-in system.
